"Julia and Jamie would like to welcome you to The Cimon. Following a dream, we took over in October 2020. After looking at many guest houses, we fell in love with The Cimon – its beautiful architecture, original features and great location with sweeping views of the bay. Our aim is to create a warm friendly atmosphere, with gorgeous surroundings. Nothing stuffy, just relaxed but always with the feeling that you’re having a treat. 

We offer beautiful rooms, some with spectacular sea views across the bay, each well appointed, and always connected with fast wifi. There are a variety of bedrooms to choose from, with a bright and airy breakfast room, a guest lounge with TV, board games and comfortable seating and a quiet vestibule for a spot of contemplation. Outside we have a lovely terrace with seating, overlooking the tropical plants and our 30ft heated swimming pool with sun terrace and loungers. Perfect for a sundowner after a day exploring. 

We aim to run a guest house which is planet friendly – upcycle, recycle, reuse, minimise our single use plastics, use eco friendly guest bathroom & cleaning products and so on. We can all do our bit to help. 

Whatever your trip – a last minute get away after a busy week, a celebration, perhaps some time for romance or visiting local friends or family. Why not explore the wonders of the British seaside and all that the English Riviera can offer. (We can cater for business travellers too!) 

Torquay is the largest of the three towns that make up Torbay. For us it offers a great mix with so many different things to do, and we’re also within the Torquay conservation zone. It’s not often you can leave your front door and in 5-10 minutes be at the shops, or be building a sand castle, visiting an Abbey, watching a pantomime or attending a conference.
