Chasing a long‑held dream, we took over in October 2020. After viewing countless guest houses, we instantly fell in love with The Cimon — its striking Victorian architecture, original features, and unbeatable location with sweeping views across the bay. Our vision has always been simple: to create a warm, friendly atmosphere in gorgeous surroundings. Nothing stuffy, nothing formal — just relaxed comfort with a sense of treat‑yourself indulgence. We offer a range of elegant, well‑appointed rooms — some with spectacular sea views — all designed for comfort and connected with fast, reliable Wi‑Fi.

Guests can enjoy:

Step outside and you’ll find a lovely terrace with seating, surrounded by tropical planting and overlooking our sparkling 30‑foot heated pool. It’s the perfect spot for a sundowner after a day exploring the Riviera.

That means upcycling, recycling, reusing, reducing single‑use plastics, and choosing eco‑friendly bathroom and cleaning products wherever we can. Small changes add up — and we’re proud to do our bit. Whether you’re escaping for a last‑minute break, celebrating something special, enjoying a romantic getaway, visiting friends or family, or travelling for business, The Cimon offers the perfect base. The English Riviera has so much to explore — beaches, coastal walks, heritage sites, theatres, gardens, and attractions for all ages. We love the area, Torquay is the largest of the three towns that make up the English Riviera, and for us it offers the ideal mix of scenery, culture, and things to do and is foodie heaven. We’re also located within the Torquay Conservation Zone, giving the area a unique charm. A short stroll gets you to the beach, Torre Abbey, the cinema, the theatre, the Marina, the Harbour... you'll need more time here!
